Gratitude

It's not based on positive outcomes,
nor the result of comfortable circumstances.

Often, it's forged by being in need, desperate and empty.
By grappling with the state of our lives,
driving us to the end of ourselves.

In the end, without our sinful nature being exposed,
there would be no real understanding of gratitude.

Yet, can we ever fully appreciate the impact of God's intimate grace?

This collection of songs was born in the midst of
pain and joy, darkness and light.

Father in heaven we are humbled and grateful for your
mercy, love, and forgiveness.
